For the end of round one, look here .   At the end of the first round of this challenge, I took myself off restriction to do holiday crafting.  One of my projects was hanging and decorating garland around my front door and railing.  I decided to keep the garland up and redecorate it for different seasons/holidays.  These are my creations for Valentine's Day.   I also made a holiday centerpiece for my dining table.  Hmm...this could count as #6 in my Dollar Tree Challenge , but I'll let that one alone since I didn't think of that until now. I also got a couple of sewing projects done over Thanksgiving and Christmas break... I'd had the material for this tablecloth for months, but didn't get around to making it until just before Thanksgiving....

If you remember from our last episode here , I chronicled my journey into (and back out of) the world of quilting.  Well, I may have cracked the code...maybe. Here are thirteen steps to making your first real quilt: Take sewing lessons in high school and learn nothing useful besides threading the machine and backtacking.  Thanks angry, hateful, impatient "teacher" who will remain nameless but everyone who went to Jacksonville High School (AL) in the 80's and took Home Ec will know who I'm talking about. Watch several years of quilting shows on PBS and get lots of information and inspiration you can't do anything with (see #1). Take a beginning level adult quilting class that isn't one. Buy almost $100 worth of quilting supplies you don't know how to use and really can't afford. Take a couple more sessions of "beginners" class that still isn't one. Cuss a lot and make absolutely nothing. Quit the class before you punch someon...
