 "Flower Coaster"  Crochet   James 1:19 - (NLT) Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. ⌚   I've never liked the phrase "tea and sympathy."  It sounds like you're being "yeah-yeah"ed.  There's never a solution, and people end up being patronized. Now, a good cup of coffee or tea with a friend who truly listens and you truly listen to them is one of the best experiences in friendship.  Back home, Java Jolt in Jacksonville was the meeting place.  Here in Colorado, there are little cafes and multi-story Starbucks to chose from.  Proverbs 16:9 - (KJV) A man's heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps. Jeremiah 29:11 - (NLT) For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord . “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. ⌚ A blank canvas has infinite possibilities.  Without a sure plan, whatever I attempt to put on that canvas will turn out of be a hot mess. Though the blank canvas presents a plethora of options, many factors play into whether what adorns it will be successful.  In other words, I can plan all I want to, but when it comes down to it, I either have to know what I'm doing or be in the process of learning for the piece to be successful. As I've said before, I've made some butt-ugly artwork.  Most of the time it was because I had no idea what I was doing, or had no solid plan.  There are elements of each art piece that are free flowing, but I still must have an idea of placement, shape, and space...

I love hearing a well-told story, whether serious or funny. My favorite kind of story starts, "Remember that time in band camp..." I've been looking at ways to tell my story.  I blogged about my trip out here , but there's so much more to it than that.  So many more wonderful things have happened since I arrived in Aurora, and I believe so many more are to come. My total story intertwines with the Greatest Story Ever Told.  The story of Christ's love and sacrifice are what have made me what I am today.  I can't simply say that life wouldn't be as good without Christ; life wouldn't be at all without His story. I hate hearing that sometimes, because, quite frankly, sometimes the process can suck.  Not just the processes of life, but also of art  Though I know that art is in the eye of the beholder, I've made projects that even I thought were too ugly for consumption--I wouldn't even give them away.  Life can get really ugly--so ugly you don't want anyone to know about it.  This is the point where trusting the process is necessary.  Most importantly, trusting the Processor is of the utmost importance.  We know that His process will produce something more beautiful, more glorious, than ever.  Simple Baby Booties:  Crochet Proverbs 13:12 - (KJV) Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life. ⌚ It has been said that one should never get his hopes up.  I say poo on that!  Without hope, faith in God doesn't work.  Hebrews 11:1 says "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Not only has hope been brought to me in various forms, God has used something simple to show me how to bring hope to someone else.  The coming of a child should be a joyous hope-filled event, but for some, it's presents nothing but fear.  I'm on a quest to crochet 1000 pairs of baby booties to donate to my local pro-life crisis pregnancy center.  Over 100 went to the center back home in Alabama.  I've found a similar center here in Colorado.  These baby booties renew the hope of an expectant mom and helps boost her courage to keep her little one....
