Hebrews 12:1 - (KJV) Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us...

I'm ticked off this morning.

The year started off with my questioning whether I needed to continue my membership in my runners club back home.  I've never been able to break through the elitist attitude of much of the group.  Well, I think I have my answer now.

Y'all know about all the changes that have happened in the past few months.  I've moved, job hunted, started a new full-time job, and now am searching for a place to live.  In the midst of all that, I've done my best to get in mileage for their program, but my numbers are not good enough for them. I just got a degrading message about it (it wasn't the first).

Sorry, but getting truly settled into my own place and finally establishing my own routines are more important than making a mileage quota.  While I'm not putting my fitness on hold by any stretch, I must do what is best for me.  Right now, in-home workouts work best for me, but they don't accumulate miles.  Right now, getting lots of rest and taking care of myself are important.  Right now, enjoying fitness and keeping strong mentally and spiritually are more beneficial to my health than being depressed every month about a set of mileage numbers.

As of now, whatever mileage I get, I get.  I'm going back to enjoying any healthy movement I choose.  Trying to satisfy people who can't be satisfied is being put on hold...indefinitely.
